Medal“Chevalier dans l’Odre des Palmes Académiques (Knight in the Order of the French Academic Palms) Medal,” conferred as an honor with the congratulations of the Cultural Services of both the French Embassy in New York City and in Washington, DC. Maryvonne LaParlière was nominated by the Prime Minister of France in gratitude of her action and enthusiasm to promote the French Culture in the United States through her Art, exhibitions, classes, lectures, and to actively participate as well  in multiple events as board member in the Sister Cities Program, and in different chapters of the Alliance Francaise. October 4, 2010: Decoration by his Excellence the Ambassador Vimont, and ceremony held at his residence in Washington, DC.

Top 100 MBEsTOP 100 MBEs Minority Business Enterprise Award This prestigious award is given to acknowledge and pay tribute to outstanding women and minority business owners in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. A panel of distinguished judges chose Galerie LaParlière & Studios from 1400 nominations. “Galerie LaParlière & Studios represents the best of what our region’s minority business community has to offer” said Sharon Pinder CEO of the Center for Business Inclusion and Diversity, and Founder of the Top 100 MBE Awards Ceremony. “This award is the culmination of sacrifice, dedication, hard work, and will inspire future minority business entrepreneurs to strive for the same level of success.” Ceremony hosted by: University of Maryland (UMUC), Southwest Airlines, Maryland’s Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs, and the Parren Foundation for Talent and Education.

2007

At the opening of Galerie LaParlière, in Gordonsville VA, Mayor Bob Coyner presented LaParliere with the medal of the town in recognition of her cultural contribution, enthusiasm, and the beautification of the town.

AwardAward of Appreciation from the Department of Tourism of Orange County, Virginia: For the selection of her Hand Painted ornament, in the Williamsburg style, to adorn the US Capitol Tree on the lawn of the White House.
