LaParlière’s paintings are usually bold and vibrant. However, when she is commissioned to do work her style will vary to adapt to the taste of the client and can be figurative and even whimsical.
LaParlière is “still” intrigued by Impressionism, Post-Impressionism and the Nabis style. She enjoys the art of Wolf Khan because of the unique light and color in his work which is described as a combination of ”pictorial landscape and painterly abstraction.”
